Sharon Barbour

Sharon C. Barbour is a member of Resurrection. She attended Resurrection Roman Catholic School. She received her B.S in Elementary Education in 1973 from St. John’s University. From 1973 to 1979, Sharon C. Barbour worked at Mt. Calvary Child Care Center. In 1981, Sharon received her M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Antioch College. She married her late husband, Charles Barbour on August 5th, 1984, at Resurrection Church. Mrs. Barbour worked at P.S. 185 Early Childhood School until her retirement in August 2008. Mrs. Barbour received an additional M.S. in Supervision & Administration in Early Childhood Education from Bank Street College om 1991. She also received her Assistant Principal and Principal licenses that same year. From 2009 to 2011, Sharon was the Director of St. Benedict’s Day Nursery. She is currently a part of the Amen Choir, Women of Faith, and the Office of Black Ministry’s Pierre Toussaint Education Committee.
